So many books read, but no time to write. Let’s say I took April as a Spring Break ( and my laptop gave up its life link at the bottom of the post if you want to read what happened). But April is always a weird month for projects and work. It’s the 2nd shortest month of the year. February is the shortest month, and the next shortest month is April, which is only 30 days.
I have read a lot of books over the last eight weeks. March, I only got through 2 books. But in April, I completed five books. First, I read the book “Descendants of the First,” which is a part of the Return of the Earth Mother series. Next, I read a Mimi Grace book from her LoveStruck Series, “Make a Scene,” and Alexis Hall’s second book, “Something Spectacular” in his Series, exploring an alternate take on regency-era romance. I also read two of the Antione Bandele short stories series Orishas Among Mortal, book one, “Will of the Mischief Marker,” and book two, “When the Wind Speaks.” Finally, I restarted and progressed with Christopher Moore’s “Noir.” You may ask, “Where are your blog post?”
Well, the following took place:
-Filling Taxes
– Mini Vacations
-Work Schedule/ Work increased
– Didn’t feel like writing
These are all, to me, valid reasons and excuses. April was busy, but I have told myself to post at least an update each month. One major thing I realized is that I did complete at least two or three books that I have had on my Kindle for months … Okay, Years. LOL. I am making headway on my list. I hope to finish a few more books by the end of May. I have bad news: I brought a few more books, but most were read once I purchased them. So these new books will not sit on my to-read list until 2025.
I am trying to find time to finish writing and editing the memoirs I have read. However, I have an idea for May’s book review post. I want to attempt to execute, but it may not happen for reasons. Also, April was both Financial Literacy Month and National Poetry Month. But I didn’t read any book in either genre, but a list will be generated… if a few months about these topics. However, last year I read a book by Rachel Rodgers, “ We Should All Be Millionaires,” about ways to optimize your life to make more money or use your money better. If you would like to listen to one of her interviews, here is the link https://youtu.be/Oihpru9XNY8
Also… I did get a new laptop, so that the May blogs will be coming🎉🤩🙂.
