Updates and Rambles

Happy New Year, Sorta!

It’s my new year, aka (around my birthday). I wanted to let followers know what I have planned for this site and brand.  Thank you to everyone who has read, shared, or commented on a post. I absolutely appreciate all the love and feedback I have received.  So what are we ( I think of y’all as a part of this journey) doing in the future with this platform? I want to grow this blog into a brand, and the only way to do that is to be consistent ( with posting). So in December, I will write a post about books I started this year and didn’t finish.  Also, I am 6 books away from achieving my Good reads challenge of  30 books in 2021, and I have 4 weeks left! So I have some reading to do!!!! I want to post the book reviews that are complete but never posted (laziness). I would like to re-read a few books that I didn’t write a review for but want to provide a review.   I also want to talk about going to the author’s book signings,  rejection letters, and even sharing excerpts from stories I started but never finished. Never shared, not even with my closest friends ( I know Big Deal!). 

I did mention I want to grow my brand!   So I am actually planning how the following steps will look and my 1, 3, and 5-year vision for this blog, along with the execution of each goal.  I never just wanted to do book reviews; that was one aspect of this blog.  I had a desire to use this platform to share my poems and short stories. I wanted to incorporate a podcast to talk with Authors, establish a book club with fun “elements.” I have a tremendous vision, and I hope you stick with me for the ride and I hope that you will love the outcome, In the next few months and years.

First up, sometime in 2022, we may be changing platforms to offer a more user-friendly experience. In the next few weeks, I will be requesting email addresses to add you to a mailing list to stay in the now and so you can have early access to fun events and plans. Next, the launch of Social media platforms, I definitely will add TikTok and Instagram. Finally, I am a bit over Facebook, so we may end up on a discord server or clubhouse to discuss the book.

The biggest thing I want to offer is a podcast/Vlog, but the rest of the details will follow in a few weeks. We may end up rebranding the name altogether, new name, new vibe.  All of this will take time, and I want to do this right for myself and everyone who supports me ( we all deserve nice stuff).  I hope you are ready for the new year, and I hope you love all the ideas and plans that are going beyond.

So this month, watch out for the remainder of my reviews, excerpts from short stories, and news about the cool stuff. It will be exciting and hopefully a great balance of books and wine!
